From the October issue of Metronome
Worcester Telegram - Oct 2004
Chris Reddy has been a fixture on the area
music scene for years, fronting the rock band Transit.
The singer and guitarist recently released
a true solo project, " Sonification". Reddy wrote, played
and produced the record in his Digital
Kitchen Studio.
" Sonification" highlights Reddy's many
talents, as he turned in strong performances of songs with
vivid lyrics and imaginative, genre leaping
arrangements. And, at times, he blends genres. "Corporate Guy,"
for example, reads like a contemporary folk
music lament about greed, yet comes across with a big
fully produced sound. The lovely " Over and
Over" exposes Reddy's inner Beatle. "Devil's Acre Half "
makes a nod towards Pink Floyd.
Reddy covered a lot of ground on "Sonification"
and covered it convincingly.
