Chris Reddy lives in Worcester Ma and has been addicted to guitar playing since 1972. In High School he helped form the prog rock group Transit playing lead guitar and later assuming lead vocal work along with all guitar duties. After 20+ years with Transit, and other bands along the way, Chris ventured out solo in the late 90's with several self produced CD's and continues to play throughout New England regularly while continuing to produce and record in his Digital Kitchen Studio. Along with working the local music scene, Chris has also opened for many headline acts and continues to impress critics with his technical acoustic performances. Utilizing loop station technology and a gist for going deep in the playlist, Chris’s performances offer a new direction in solo performance. Chris has opened for many high profile national acts
including - Dave Mason, Gary Hoey, Johnny A, Marcy
Playground, Stan Ridgeway and others. He has also been a
featured performer at various music festivals including Pulse College Fest,
The Worcester Music Awards, Shirleyfest, among others. Original
music has been featured in various soundtracks and college airplay. “Vortex”
(check out the MP3 sample on the CD Release page ), has been featured in John
Chang’s short film “Pursuing Dreams” and has been selected for an upcoming
independent film from “Sorry Dog Productions” out of Chicago. Citing guitarists and bands like Jeff Beck, Andy Partridge & XTC, Steve Morse, Ty Tabor & Kings X, Brand X, Adrian Belew, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, along with a list too large to name, the new recordings consistently point to a love for alternative musical direction and embodies a lifelong dream to create original uninhibited music.
